Last night was one of the best Mondays I could ask for. Lydia Lunch, acclaimed author, spoken word artist, trash-film actress, and general punk rock badass came to Berlin. I’d seen her once before, in LA, reading some of her spoken word pieces, but this was something entirely different. Backed by a band (the members of Gallon Drunk), she sang, bantered, heckled, and gave us a great dose of the Lydia Lunch attitude that we’d all been hoping for.
“Gimme a bottled water, the cognac isn’t working. Never does…”
